* Arm Bars and Double Arm Bars: In this hold, the attacker grabs the victim's arm and wrenches it backwards, applying pressure to the elbow and shoulder. The Double Arm Bars has the attacker grabbing both of the victim's arms and doing the same.
* Back Breaker: In this hold, the attacker lifts the victim in the air, typically with her arms under the victim's back and knees. She then drops the victim onto her upraised knee so that the victim to bends backwards over the knee.
* Back Drop: In this hold, the attacker bends down and forward as the victim charges toward her. As the victim reaches the attacker, the attacker stands up, lifting the victim up and using her momentum to send her over so that she lands on her back on the mat.
* Bear Hug: In this hold, the attacker throws her arms around the victim, usually pinning the victim's arms to her body. The attacker then squeezes, often swinging the victim from side to side to increase the pain caused.
* Body Slam: In this hold, the attacker lifts the victim and throws her to the mat.
* Boston Crab: In this hold, the attacked hooks the victim's legs through her arms while the victim is on her back on the mat. The attacker then steps over the victim, turning her face-down while the attacker leans back. This arches the victim's back and neutralizes her.
* Bulldog: In this hold, the attacker stands behind the victim and reaches under one of the victim's arms with one hand and places it behind the victim's neck. The attacker uses her free arm to reach across the victim's body and grab the victim's other arm. The attacker pulls that arm across and locks her hands around the victim's neck. The attacker then charges forward and drives the victim face first into the mat.
* Clothesline: In this hold, the victim is caught running at the attacker. The attacker throws an arm out to her side, perpendicular to her body, and lets the victim run into it so that the arm catches her across the throat or chest and her own velocity makes the attack more powerful against the victim.
* DDT: In this hold, the attacker applies a front face lock and then falls straight down or backwards, driving the victim's head into the mat.
* Dropkick: In this hold, the attacker jumps in to the air and kicks the victim with one or both feet, landing on the mat herself after the kick is delivered.
* Elbow Drop: In this hold, the attacker falls onto the victim elbow first, typically jabbing her in the midsection.
* Figure 4 Leg Lock: In this hold, the attacker stands over the opponent who is lying face-up on the mat and grasps one of the victim's legs. The attacker then turns 180 degrees over the leg and grasps the other leg, crossing them as she does so. She then falls to the mat, applying pressure to the opponent's crossed legs and locking them between her own.
* Front Face Lock: In this hold, the attacker faces her opponent, who is bent forward. The attacker tucks the victim's head in her armpit and wraps her arm around the other woman's head so that her forearm is pressed against her victim's face. The attacker then grabs her arm with her free hand to lock in the hold and compress the victim's face.
* Hammer Lock (or Wrist Locks): In this hold, the attacker grabs her opponent's arm(s) and twists it/them around her back, putting pressure on the muscles in the chest. This can be combined with a wrist lock, which twists the hand into a painful position and immobilizes the victim with pain.
* Keester Bump: In this hold, the attacker uses her butt to bump the victim into motion, or drops onto her, butt-first, while the victim is lying on the mat.
* Leg Bars: In this hold, the attacker grabs the victim's leg and wrenches it backward, placing pressure on the hip joint.
* Neck Breaker: In this hold, the attacker applies a front face lock on the victim and then spins to the side, twisting the victim's head and then falling to the mat.
* Sleeper Hold: In this hold, the attacker begins behind her opponent. She then wraps her arm around her opponent's neck, pressing her bicep against one side of the neck and the inner bone of her forearm against the other side. The victim's neck is squeezed very tight inside the arm. Additional pressure can be applied if the attacker grabs her opposite shoulder or bicep and pushes the victim's head towards the crook of the arm in which she is now locked. After a few seconds, the opponent will go limp, the sleeper hold having knocked her out.
* Suplex: There are probably a hundred variations on the suplex. The usual one is the belly-to-belly suplex, in which the attacker stands face to face with the victim and locks her arms around the waist. The attacker lifts the victim off the mat and pivots 180 degrees, slamming the victim's back to the mat and landing on top of her, hard.
* Pile Driver: In this hold, the attacker applies a standing head scissors (which means that the victim's head is placed between the legs of the attacker while the attacker is standing) on the victim and grabs around her midsection. The attacker then lifts the victim up so that she is upside down and drops the victim head first to the mat, either by sitting down or dropping to her own knees.
* Power Bomb: In this hold, the attacker bends her victim over or applies a standing head scissors (which means that the victim's head is placed between the legs of the attacker while the attacker is standing) and grabs the victim around the waist. The attacker lifts the victim up over her shoulder or forces her into a sitting position on the attacker's shoulders facing the opposite direction. The attacker then drops the victim down back-first to the mat.
